Church Hall For Hire

Holy Trinity Church Hall is available for hire at the weekends and is an ideal venue for family occasions, children’s parties or community meetings.

Cost

The hall hire fee is around £60 per hour.  There is an additional charge of between £35 and £45 for the caretaker.  A deposit of £500 will be taken for each booking.  (At least £100 of the deposit must be in cash). Community groups may also be able to book a smaller hall on weekday evenings. Call in to the church during Office Hour or contact the vicar to check if your proposed date is available and to discuss your booking.

Availability

The Hall is available to hire by the hour.  Possible times on Saturdays are between 9:30am & 10:30pm and on Sundays between 1:00pm & 6:00pm.  The building must be vacated promptly to avoid noise disturbing the nearby residential area.  The hall is not available to hire outside these times nor on other days. We do not hire for 16th, 18th, or 21st birthday parties.  Regular or "block" bookings are not accepted.

Facilities and Size

The Hall has recently been completely redecorated and the floor renewed. The floor measures 30 feet by 60 feet (9 x 18 metres).  A maximum of 150 people can be accommodated.  There is also a kitchen area with a serving hatch onto the main hall.  Tables and chairs can be provided if required.

Hall History

What is now the Church Hall was originally built in 1836 as the Holy Trinity School, one of the National Schools which provided free primary education for the poor of the parish.  It closed in 1910 when the London County Council opened Redriff School close by.

The school building survived when the original church and vicarage were destroyed by bombing in 1940.
